GROW with FLO

by FLO Coaching

Spring! A time for action

Welcome to GROW with FLO, a newsletter exploring the transformative potential of psychedelic coaching to help you navigate your own journey of growth and self-discovery.

Spring has sprung, and with it comes a fresh burst of energy and excitement!

Lotte and I are thrilled to bring you the latest updates from FLO Coaching, where we're dedicated to guiding individuals through transformative psychedelic experiences.

In this newsletter, we'll share some exciting developments in the world of psychedelics, and give you a practical coaching exercise to help you align with your core values.

But before we dive in, we have a small request. If you know someone who might benefit from our services, please don't hesitate to share FLO Coaching with them. Together, we can help more people unlock their potential and live their best lives.

πŸ“° Psychedelic Therapy Closer Than Ever

The world of psychedelic therapy is buzzing with exciting developments, and it seems that we're closer than ever to seeing these transformative treatments become a reality.

In fact, the FDA is expected to make a decision on the approval of MDMA-assisted therapy for PTSD by August of this year. This could be a major milestone in the field, paving the way for more widespread access to this promising treatment.

But that's not all. Two new companies have recently received breakthrough therapy status from the FDA, which means their treatments will be reviewed more quickly than usual. This is a clear sign that the medical community is recognizing the potential of psychedelic therapies.

However, it's important to keep in mind that even if these treatments are approved, they will likely come with a hefty price tag. Estimates suggest that psychedelic therapy could cost upwards of €10,000 per treatment.

Moreover, it may take 5 to 10 years before these therapies become available in Europe, as regulatory processes and healthcare systems vary from country to country.

But don't let that discourage you. While we wait for psychedelic therapy to become more accessible, there's another powerful tool at our disposal: psychedelic coaching.

πŸ‘©β€πŸŽ“ Define Your Values with the Bull's Eye Exercise

Now, let's talk about a practical tool that can help you prepare for a psychedelic experience: the Bull's Eye values exercise.

This powerful tool, based on Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), guides you through a reflection on your core values across four key domains: work, relationships, personal growth, and leisure.

By identifying what truly matters to you in these areas, you create a solid foundation and a North Star to guide you through the insights that may emerge during your psychedelic session.

The exercise begins with an open reflection on your deepest desires for how you want to live, relate, and grow. You'll then plot your current alignment with these values on a visual "dartboard," highlighting any gaps between your ideal and current state.

Finally, you'll identify obstacles and commit to action steps to help you live more in line with your clarified values.

πŸ“£ Help Us Spread the Word About Psychedelic Coaching

As we wrap up this newsletter, we want to leave you with one final ask.

If you've found value in the information we've shared today, we encourage you to pass it along to someone who might benefit from psychedelic coaching.

Perhaps you have a friend who's been struggling with personal growth or a family member who's expressed interest in exploring altered states of consciousness. By sharing FLO Coaching with them, you could be opening the door to a transformative journey of self-discovery and healing.

Remember, psychedelic coaching isn't just for those who are actively planning a psychedelic experience. It's a powerful tool for anyone looking to deepen their self-awareness, clarify their values, and create meaningful change in their lives.

So, take a moment to think about the people in your life who could benefit from this work. Forward them this newsletter, share our introductory video, or simply start a conversation about the potential of psychedelic coaching.

Together, we can help create a ripple effect of positive change, one person at a time.

Thank you for being a part of the FLO Coaching community. We're grateful for your support and look forward to continuing to share valuable insights and resources with you.

Until next time, keep exploring, keep growing, and keep shining your light!

With gratitude,

Floris and Lotte

The Bloom #149 Free Edition pub lecture A third of the year has passed by, and since last weeks (Chacruna & Breaking Convention), the conference season is upon us (with Horizons & ICPR taking place soon). During ICPR, I'll be participating in the policy-focused day (Paths), but you can also find me running around the rest of the conference. I'm also partnering with my friends Anne and Ingmar, from The New Health Club and Magnolia respectively, in organizing a pub lecture on June 5th. Tickets...

The Bloom #148 Free Edition rolling Over the last week, it seems that psychedelic research is coming at us faster than ever before. Researchers re-analysed data from a single-blind study of psilocybin-assisted therapy for depression and found that psychological flexibility, mindfulness, and living according to one’s values improved, even four months after the study's conclusion. Next to academic research, I'm seeing an uptick in publications from the psychedelic drug developers, including a...

Some may say we have all the answers already, and that all the research currently happening is just an exercise in writing down wisdom that's already present in the wider world outside of academia. Others, notably the...
